Pengaruh Pemberian Ekstrak Daun Sirih (Piper betle L.) terhadap Pengendalian Hama Thrips (Thrips Parvispinus.) pada Tanaman Cabai Rawit (Capsicum frutescents L.)

ABSTRAK
 Cabai rawit merupakan salah satu tanaman sayuran yang termasuk dalam program swasembada dicanangkan oleh Kementerian Pertanian dengan jumlah produksi terus meningkat. Salah kendala dihadapi budidaya cabai di Kecamatan Kalisat yaitu adanya serangan hama thrips. Penggunaan insektisida sudah sangat intensif, baik jenis, dosis maupun interval penyemprotannya. Keadaan berlangsung menerus ini berdampak negatif terhadap lingkungan dan kesehatan manusia. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengendalikan thrips menggunakan ekstrak daun sirih sebagai pestisida alami. dilaksanakan Laboratorium Sains Universitas PGRI Argopuro Jember. Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri atas 5 perlakuan (kontrol, konsentrasi 20 %, 40 60 80 %) kali pengulangan. Parameter diamati adalah mortalitas hama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian berpengaruh nyata Aplikasi sebesar 80% memberikan pengaruh tertinggi thrips.
